I must share! I made this concoction when I was on mat leave and tired of people looking at my lips as if they were undesirable pieces of fruit. Being a Toronto girl on the go, I keep my lips moist but that's not enough during the bitter Canadian cold. I call this my "lip rescue". Its a mini moisturizing lip exfoliator.
Now, what you need and how to make it.
A small bowl, a tablespoon for measuring and 5 mins of your time.
You'll need half a lime, half a tablespoon of honey, 3 table spoons of granulated white sugar and half a tablespoon of avocado oil (any cooking oil you're used to using). Start with the sugar and then add everything else (it'll be better for consistency). Be sure to squeeze the lime juice in ...*sideeye. Mix it together and put the yummay scrub on your lips with your finger or the spoon to start. Massage it over your lips for about a minute. Wipe my sugary concoction off your lips with a wet paper towel (using warm water is always the best idea). And voila! Your lips are sweet and soft enough to host your favorite lip balm. Spoil your lips right away and use a generous amount of Vaseline or your fave lip balm. Keep what's left over in the bowl, keep it refrigerated and be ready to toss it after 3 to 4 weeks (depending on the freshness of the lime juice).
YOU'RE WELCOME =D
